Located on the lake promenade in Arbon, the Saurer Museum is one of Switzerland’s major industrial museums; alongside the company’s eventful history, it showcases the products of the once world-renowned Saurer enterprise.

Embroidery machines ranging from the first old "Chlüpperli" machine from 1880 to punch-card and computer-controlled fully automated models. Naturally, the iconic Saurer postal buses are also on display. In addition, the museum showcases fire engines, lorries, and the famous "Vierundvierziger" (44er) military truck. Furthermore, weaving machines from various generations clatter away, producing ribbons, hand towels, and terry towels, which can then be purchased in our shop. The museum is passionately run by dedicated volunteers from the Saurer Oldtimer Club. During group visits, live weaving and embroidery demonstrations take place.
